Constitution

I watched the Dem debate Last night and it escapes me how anyone could vote for any of them!

I talked to a young man today who is pretty involved with the Republican Party and we had an interesting conversation. He told me what he was hearing was either Cruz or Rubio. I like Cruz but told him my problem with Rubio was his previous stance on immigration.

I like what Trump is saying, the question for me is will he actually follow through? The thing I know about Cruz is he has done his best to keep his word to the voters in Texas who sent him to the senate so I have to assume he will keep his word to the America people.

What do you think?

I have people tell me all the time about “the separation of church and state”. From the things I have read and the way I understand it. The Constitution says that Congress can’t  force you to follow a religion or stop you from The Faith of your choice. In other words that is YOUR Business, NOT THEIRS! I don’t see anywhere that you can’t or shouldn’t be in government if you are a person of Faith. If I believed what some people try to tell me, the only people who could run for office would be atheists. As a matter of fact a large portion of The Founding Fathers had Seminary degrees.

The lie The Enemy (replace the enemy with your version, ie Satan, The Left, Communists, Progressives etc.) is only interested in stopping Christians. Why is that? I personally feel it is because Christians scare them. Christians are the one group large enough to stop them, so they have to convince Christians, they can’t make a difference, they shouldn’t try to make a difference, it is against the Constitution to make a difference, and probably a few excuses I haven’t thought of.

You can check out God’s Tunes Blog for some other ideas.

The best explanation I have seen on the numbers is in this youtube video

James Madison said

“On every question of construction, carry ourselves back to the time when the constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates, and instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text, or invented against it, conform to the probable one in which it was passed.”

Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

To me this says we have freedom OF religion, not freedom from religion. It is time Christian’s claim their Constitutional rights. Congress (the government) is forbidden by the 1st Amendment from either promoting one religion over another or stopping “We The People” from exercising our religion.

When Christian’s understand what is at stake (and I pray the time is now), they (Christian’s) will get out and vote. When we do this attack on The Constitution will end because the people who want to violate our God given rights will no longer be getting elected.

The 1st Amendment also says that we have a right to PEACEABLY assemble (the key word is peaceably, not riot or cause damage or trouble) and demand that our grievances are addressed. What we are seeing is a violation of that very right when anyone who tries to voice a view different than Progressives is targeted by the IRS so they can’t speak or express their concerns.

Christian’s it is time to Stand Up and Speak UP.

God Bless America

For the past few years I fell into the trap of being angry over what the politicians have been doing to us. They don’t care if we are angry, they want us fighting with each other over everything, when we do we are not thinking straight and we believe we can’t change anything. The truth is if we keep our heads about us and hold them to the same standards we hold ourselves to most of them would have already been voted out.

I forgive the politicians for their votes that go against the Constitution and Biblical Laws. Since the Constitution was written after the Founding Fathers prayed on it. The Bible and a firm belief in God was a very important factor in what they wrote.

Yes, I forgive them but that doesn’t mean I will support them or vote for them because even though I forgive them doesn’t mean I trust them. The job of judging them belongs to God not to me so I am content to let God judge. “Psa 75:7  But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.” My job as a Christian is to follow the Commandments God has given us, it is difficult to do that when our government is passing laws that go against the Will of God. For that reason I will not support or vote for any politician who promotes any legislation which goes against either the Constitution or God’s Word.
